Spookley the Pumpkin was different. All the other pumpkins teased him until Spookley proved that being different can save the day!

Chix eat Grains
We've heard that a rooster may call other chickens to eat it first when he finds food. He will make a squeaky clucking sound--and poke the food around the ground a bit. Mother hens also do this when calling their chicks.

Teacher Resources are available to all teachers who reserve a field trip with Kackleberry Farm. Some Lesson Plans are password protected, and with a reservation comes the password.

Fall Field Trip Information:
Klassroom in the Korn: Fall, 2010
This field trip includes an educational talk about how we take care of animals on the farm, how corn grows, and different types of grains that we eat. Students will participate in many hands-on activities, such as touching various grains and navigating their way through the corn maze.
Students will also receive an educational handout and small pumpkin to take with them, a self-guided tour of the farm animals and play time in the Kiddie Korral.
Teachers will receive a Down on the Farm Kurriculum correlated to the Georgia Performance Standards.

The Kackleberry Pumpkin Patch: Fall, 2010

NOTE: Modifications can be made to both field trips to accommodate special needs or additional grade levels.

We know you'll be hungry in all of the farm-fresh
air, so we will have lots of goodies to munch when you get here.
There'll be chicken available to eat but you can bet your bottom dollar that it won't be Kackleberry chickens.
